In the Glass Case - Beads and Glass Sculptures
by George Dalecki
Although George Dalecki has been working with
stained glass for many years, this exhibit concentrates
on flame work, which includes bead making,
marble making and sculptural work. Almost all of his
beads are made with hand pulled glass "canes"
imported from Murano, Italy. Mr. Dalecki's creations
are colorful, intricate and often abstract, and frequently
in the form of wearable jewelry. Fusing,
which involves melting layers of glass together in
high temperature kilns, creates other functional art
such as plates. George Dalecki lives in Wading River
and is the owner/operator of Seatuck Stained Glass
in Eastport.
All works reproduced with permission from the artist.
